An Occupational Physician is mandatory for businesses with 50 or more employees. Regardless of the number of employees, one is also mandatory when workers are exposed to lead, asbestos, carcinogens or biological agents and the risk assessment shows a risk to their health (Law 3850/2010).

From 28.09.2026, the Safety Technician and Occupational Physician recommendations book is kept electronically in the Labour Inspectorate’s Information System. The employer confirms electronically that they have taken note of each recommendation.
